NCECA BYLAWS

NCECA Bylaws amendments –
updated on December 5, 2023

During its November 2023 meeting, NCECA’s Board of Directors discussed and approved several Bylaws amendments pertaining to standing committees. These changes reflect committee structures and assignments that are more responsive to current opportunities and governance framework.

 The amendments include:

1. A streamlining of the language describing the responsibilities of the Development Committee. (Article 9.3C)

2. The definitive splitting of the Awards and Fellowship Committee and Nominations Committee into 3 distinct committees; The Awards Committee, The Fellowships Committee, and the newly created Governance Committee. The Governance Committee takes on the work previously handled by the Nominations Committee and oversees other governance matters. (Article 9.3 D-F). The Awards Committee and The Fellowships Committee can be combined into one committee should it meet the needs of the board’s workload.
