2022 NCECA GALLERY EXPO 56th Annual Conference of the National Council on Education for the Ceramic Arts Fertile Ground Sacramento, California,  March 16-19, 2022 Application deadline: CLOSED – Wednesday, September 29, 2021 (11:59pm EASTERN) If you have questions about the 2022 Gallery Expo, please contact, Lauren Sandler, NCECA Director at Large,  laurensandler.nceca@gmail.com and Kate Vorhaus, NCECA Projects Manager kate@nceca.net If you require technical assistance with submission contact both kate@nceca.net AND support@nceca.net NCECA 2022 Gallery Expo will take place in conjunction with the 56th Annual NCECA Conference March 16-19, 2022, in Sacramento, CA. Gallery Expo will be open to the public with a preview reception on Tuesday evening, March 15th, 2022, and continue through Friday afternoon, March 18th, 2022. Access to NCECA Gallery Expo will be free and open to the public on Wednesday-Friday of the conference in order to maximize the potential to reach new and dedicated appreciators of ceramic art. Other areas of the conference will require registration to enter. NCECA is committed to inclusion, equity, accessibility, and diversity in the ceramic arts. Applicants to the Gallery Expo are strongly encouraged to submit a diverse list of artists reflecting historically marginalized communities, artists from multiple experiences, backgrounds, voices, and identities, including but not limited to race, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, sexuality, disability, class, and age. Representatives and artists from participating galleries will be scheduled to make brief presentations that illuminate the process of creation as well as the joy of collecting and using contemporary ceramic works by contemporary makers. The galleries involved create a unique opportunity to experience and purchase works that might not otherwise be available in the conference region.
