No event materials will be mailed. You will receive:

  1. An email purchase confirmation for your registration at the time of your purchase.
  2. An additional email containing policies, travel info, etc.
  3. An email with onsite check-in instructions closer to the conference.

After checking your junk/spam folder, contact the NCECA office if you did not receive them.

No. The conference registration fees and membership fees are separate costs. You must be a current NCECA Member to qualify for Member pricing. For convenience there are registration bundles available online that include membership.

You will find the best rates by becoming a member of NCECA and registering well in advance of the conference. In fact, in most cases, the cost of becoming a member of NCECA will be realized in the discount you receive on conference registration. Click here for more information on Membership types and benefits.

Registration opens in October. There are Earlybird and Advance registration discount periods:

  • Earlybird pre-registration starts in October and continues through the end of January. The dates can vary due to the start and end date of the conference. Please check the Types & Pricing Page  for specific dates for each conference. All time deadlines are based on Eastern Standard Time (EST). Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked by the Earlybird deadline indicated on the form.
  • Advance pre-registration starts after Earlybird deadline ends and continues through approximately 2 weeks prior to the conference. Pre-registration closes after Advance registration ends. Mail-in registration forms must be postmarked one week prior to the Advance registration deadline.
  • After Advance Registration ends, conference registration will only be available starting online on the Monday before conference and then Tuesday onsite at the convention center.   The member and non-member onsite registration fee will be the only available option. No Early-Bird or Advance registration fees available onsite.

Registration provides access to the array of scheduled programs, speakers, and events presented by NCECA throughout the conference.  Those without registration passes are welcome to join us at the following events that are free and open to the public: Projects Space, Gallery Expo, Keynote lecture on Wednesday evening, Cup Exhibition and Sale, K-12 Exhibition, Past Masters, and Friday night dance.

There is no need to sign up for specific sessions or events.  All NCECA programming is included with the purchase of a 4-day pass or single day pass. Seating is on a first-come first-serve basis.

Please Note: Some presentation spaces can be highly attended. Be sure to arrive prior to the start time of presentations that you most want to see and seek out any available seat. Please make use of any and all available seating, keeping personal items on your lap or beneath your seat, not on the seat next to you.  Lingering near doors and aisles presents a safety hazard, and obstructs others willing to occupy seats that may be vacant. Expect a request to move if you are in an aisle or doorway.

Other events are going on separate from NCECA. The Pre- and Post- conference events are posted here.

An Event Name Badge is required to be worn at all times during the conference for entry into the Resource Hall and nearly all NCECA conference programming.

The name badge serves as proof of conference registration and is required to be worn at all times for entry into the Exhibitor Resource Hall and nearly all NCECA conference programming. Name badges will be checked upon entry into all NCECA programming rooms and halls. Exceptions include events that are open to the public; Projects Space, Gallery Expo, Keynote lecture on Wednesday evening, Cup Exhibition and Sale, K-12 Exhibition, Past Masters, and Friday night dance.

A single Event Name Badge will be issued to an individual at the time of registration purchase. (Please note: This also applies to multi-day registration.) No badge swapping or sharing is permitted. Violations of this policy will result in a cancellation of registration and/or a penalty fee. Be sure to secure your name badge in a safe place throughout the conference.

Lost or misplaced badges will be charged a $30 replacement fee. A photo ID is required for replacement.

Cancellation Policy: All pre-registration cancellation requests must be received in writing via mail or email to office@nceca.net by midnight EDT March 11, 2020 and are subject to a $40 processing fee. Cancellation requests received after midnight EDT on this date are not eligible for a refund.  Volunteers please refer to the cancellation policy within the email confirmation sent at the time of purchase.  All onsite sales are final.

Registration for bus tours are separate from NCECA registration and are handled by the company Lew White Tours.  NCECA does not handle registration for bus tours. Your login for Lew White Tours is not necessarily the same as your NCECA website login. If you do not currently have a login for Lew White Tours, you will be instructed to do so on the Lew White Tours website. Please Go here to learn more and access the Exhibition Guide. A link to Lew White Tours website to register for bus tours will be posted when available for purchase.

Upon arrival at the Convention Center, follow signs to NCECA. If you have pre-registered go directly to the Pre-Registered Express Check-in counter to print out your name badge and receive your conference materials and/or Annual NCECA Journal. Pre-ordered exhibition catalogs will be available for pick-up at the designated counter near Pre-Registration. Registration opens at 12:00 noon on the Tuesday before the conference begins. Please check the Program Guide or NCECA Conference App for specific onsite registration hours.

We recommend that you print a copy of your purchase confirmation email or have access to it on a mobile device and bring it with you to the event. If you are a full-time college student, please remember to bring your school ID. You may need it for onsite registration if you have not already pre-registered.

Check the weather to bring appropriate clothing and items to make your time at NCECA enjoyable. It’s also a good idea to check out the convention center website for travel information.

The K-12 exhibition is not organized by NCECA.  Visit K12clay.org for more information.
