2014 NCECA PROCESS ROOM PROPOSALS
NCECA 2014 – 48th Annual Conference
Deadline: Oct. 2, 2013, 11:59pm MST
Material World, the theme of NCECA’s 48th Annual Conference in Milwaukee, engages with the central position that making occupies in the contemporary ceramics field. Process Room a recently added feature of NCECA’s Annual Conference will be enhanced in 2014 through improved seating design, greater audience capacity, and better audio-visual support.
Process Room programming responds to the interests and learning modalities of NCECA’s creative constituency who are most dedicated to sharing, performing, and deepening understanding of the way that hand and mind work together in the creation of Ceramic Art.
NCECA’s Programs Director Steve Hilton and On-Site Conference Liaison Paul Sacaridiz will curate this series of 20- to 30-minute artist-led demonstrations and presentations of ceramic techniques and processes. One of NCECA’s goals will be to highlight makers from the greater Wisconsin region including those from neighboring states. If you are an artist interested in presenting your work in this context please contact Steve Hilton.
