GRADUATE STUDENTS’, INTERNATIONAL AND K-12 IMAGE FORUMS

Graduate Students’ and International Image Forum sign up and scheduling of presentations will take place Wednesday, March 31, 1:00-5:00 p.m., on the Bridge near registration in the Pennsylvania Convention Center.  The Graduate Students’ and International Image Forums are scheduled on Thursday and Friday, April 1 & 2, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.

The Image Forums Presentation Rooms will be equipped with one screen, one computer, and one digital projector.  Volunteers will be on hand to assist you.  If you plan to do a digital presentation, it should either be on a CD or DVD.  Save your presentation as both a PowerPoint Presentation and a PowerPoint Show on the same device.  If you prefer, you may bring your personal laptop with your PowerPoint or iPhoto presentation loaded and ready for viewing.  Please remember to have your laptop battery ready, bring your power cord, and projector adaptor if you are bringing a Mac.  If you have any questions regarding PowerPoint, contact NCECA Audio Visual Technicians, Chris Stanley at 432-296-0834 or Les Laidlaw at 507-387-2237.  NCECA is not responsible for poor quality images.   It is important that you view your presentation through a projector on a projection screen to see how the images appear.

Graduate Students’ Image Forum

The Graduate Students’ Image Forum will take place in room 201 A.  Interested graduate students are encouraged to prepare a 15-minute image presentation.  Share your work with 4,500 ceramic artists, educators, and fellow students who will be in attendance.  NCECA looks forward to your participation.  If you have any questions, contact Sally Brogden, 865-692-1251 or 865-974-6668, sbrogden@utk.edu.

International Image Forum

International Image Forum Schedule 3.5.10

After listening to many of NCECA members the International Image Forum serves, we are making some changes to help the Forum become a more effective place for the international ceramic community to communicate with NCECA members.

NCECA international members are invited and encouraged to present images of your workplace/studio and your home country.  We are pleased to offer you the opportunity to share your images with 4,500 colleagues who will attend the annual conference.  Presentations are limited to 15-20 minutes in length.  We look forward to your participation and in continuing the growth of the international representation at the conference.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Steve Driver, 501-569-3163 or 501-257-7620, smdriver@ualr.edu

International ceramic artists, consortium of artists, ceramic journals, art centers, ceramic conferences and university ceramic programs are encouraged to sign up to a make presentations prior to the conference.  Groups of artists and journals representing artists may sign up for no more than three concurrent time slots or 45 minutes.  Contact Stephen Driver, International Image Forum Coordinator at smdriver@ualr.edu for a sign up form.  Your presentation time will be reserved and must be confirmed in person at the Image Forum sign up table located in the registration area on Wednesday, March 31 before 4:30 p.m. to hold your time slot(s).  Cut off date for early sign up is March 17th.   All slots not filled prior to the conference will be open for international artists to sign up on a first come basis at the International Image Form table from 1:00-5:00 p.m. on Wednesday of the conference.  Early sign up artists must confirm reserved slots at this time or lose their position.  A list of early sign up presenters will be posted on the NCECA conference website to help promote attendance of presentations. The International Image Forum will take place in room 201 B.

K12 Image Forum

The K12 Image Forum will take place in 202 B and is an opportunity to showcase and share outstanding K-12 ceramic programs; innovative ceramic curriculum; teaching and learning; research; authentic assessment and quality student artwork.  Presenters are encouraged to relate the above to the theme of the conference.  Presentations are limited to 20 minutes in length.  If you have any questions, please contact Barbara Beasley, 559-645-5830 or 559-327-2075, bdb_c_19@hotmail.com.
